Social Motion, Inc. Receives Grant from HollyRod Foundation
Houston, TX: Social Motion Inc., a non-profit organization serving families and corporations dealing with autism, ADHD, and similar challenges of all ages, is proud to announce receiving a HollyRod Foundation - RJ's Place grant for assistive technology and pre-vocational support for Social Motion’s T3 transition program including the Aspire Accessories micro-enterprise . This grant is made possible through HollyRod Foundation donors FedEx and Stella & Dot. Anja Hart, General Manager of Stella & Dot says “We are proud to support the HollyRod Foundation and their mission to provide compassionate care to families living with autism. It brings us great joy to support wonderful organizations such as Social Motion and from our Stylists, Hostesses, Customers, and entire community, we thank you for your amazing work.”
The HollyRod Foundation will be in Houston February 1st to host MY BROTHER CHARLIE GOES TO THE AQUARIUM at the Downtown Aquarium. HollyRod treats families living with autism to a private evening exploring the wonders of the sea! All of the aquarium’s exhibits are adjusted for children on the spectrum and their special way of experiencing the world. During the evening, HollyRod will present their third annual Super Kid Honor, recognizing athletic achievement in teens/young adults on the spectrum.
Social Motion’s Executive Director and Founder, Wendy Dawson, reports, “We are grateful to the HollyRod Foundation for their tremendous support. These funds propel our efforts in serving a most deserving population and assist those with autism in receiving the transition skills they need to achieve meaningful, independent lives.”
